This Is Why You Need Glycolic Acid In Your Skincare Routine ft. SkinCeuticals

Paid partnership with SkinCeuticals

As you all know, I’ve been doing quite some traveling lately so I always end up finding my skin clogged and feeling a bit dull. On the other hand, living near NYC does not make this any easier with all the pollution. I was feeling quite concerned about my skin quality, and there’s been several moments my mom would Face Time me and be like SUMMER! Why aren’t you taking care of your skin? And she’s completely right.

When SkinCeuticals reached out to me, I knew that this would be the perfect time to get my skin back on track. After discussing my concerns, I made a visit to the Kaga Institute in partnership with SkinCeuticals to try out their Express peel using the Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight.  Throughout the past few weeks, I was able to take the product home and incorporate it in my own skincare routine! This nightly treatment promotes cellular turnover for healthy, glowing skin. I began by trying it out every other night, in order to see how my skin would react initially. I found that it works best when maintaining moisturized skin with creams in my morning routine, to avoid any dryness from the glycolic acid. It’s normal to feel a bit of tingling!

Over a few weeks, you can begin to see your skin reducing its buildup of dead skin cells, and overall really improving the appearance of your complexion. I’ve definitely had those moments where I wake up and my skin is glowing and feeling so bright! And in turn, I feel the need to wear less coverage / makeup, and thus avoiding clogged skin occurrences.

If you visit SkinCeuticals you can learn more about the benefits of using glycolic acid and see what skincare products are best for your skin type. I know I’m so much happier with brighter, healthier skin, and incorporating this small change in your nightly skincare routine would make getting ready in the morning just a little easier!

Much love,
